My Christmas Card

Well, I hope everyone had a great holiday....I know I sure did. I work so much that it's nice to have a few days away with my family. Anyway, this season was crazy for me and I didn't finish my card until December 23rd...(I had to finish everyone else's work first before I could even think about my own stuff) And, for all off of you all wondering out there....yes I do own a donkey as a pet and he is the greatest! And another side note these images were taken this December....we had a big snow and lost power for two days...that meant no working on the computer right before my Christmas deadlines and YES I was in a panic!!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Baby Isla

Had to share this one!! How cute is this! This is baby Isla, who at the time of the photo was only 1 week old....She is the daughter of the proud parents, Jodi and Evan Hall of Proctorville, Ohio. Yes, she made quite a journey to get to the studio but the session went really well and I was so excited to get to share in another important event in Jodi and Evan's lives. (I photographed their wedding several years ago) Again, it is such a great honor to document such important events in people lives...thanks and congrats Jodi and Evan! Baby Isla is beautiful!

Senior of the Week- Paige Stacy

I am finishing up work on Paige's order this weekend....So, I thought for the Senior of the Week post I would share two galleries the she ordered for her home. Paige is an avid softball player and is proud of the fact that her team, the Man Hillbillies, are the back to back state single A softball champions! In fact, in the 2009 finals, Paige hit a grand slam home run to lead her team to the championship....Way to go Paige!! Pretty awesome! Anyway, she brought us some photos from the championship and we added some from the studio session to create this one-of-a-kind storyboard for her. I think it turned out pretty cool!

Senior of the week--Shane Porter

I wanted to post an image of a new gallery we are offering this year for seniors...so I thought it fitting to do so for a senior of the week. Shane and his family have been looking forward to his senior portraits for many years... When I speak at my seminars I always tell the story of how Shane's mother called to book his appointment for his senior portraits when he was a freshman....now, we DO book for seniors way in advance... but that is the earliest I have ever had anyone call for their session. You gotta love it!! I love a senior that is that excited about their senior session....And, I have to say I did feel a lot of pressure that day, knowing how important it was to Shane and his family. As you can see, it was a great day and the pictures turned out awesome!

Harper Hutchinson

I wanted to share the recent birth announcement I created for Tiffany and Matt Hutchinson of Huntington, WV. It announces their beautiful daughter, Harper Reann. I have been photographing Tiffany's special occasions since I photographed her senior portraits many years ago. Then, I was honored to share in her special day when she married Matt. And, most recently, I was honored to photograph the newest addition to their family. It's been such a rewarding experience to document the important events in their lives. Congratulations!!

Seniors 2009

Well, the senior season is about over and the 2009 grads are preparing to send out their announcements. I have been working day and night to finish all of the senior orders and graduation announcements. Whew! I am almost finished!! But now it's time to prepare for the 2010 seniors. I plan to work most of the weekend on all the new things we'll be offering next year for the 2010 grads. (Just a note: We already have most of the summer booked up so if you are interested in getting appointment you'd better call soon.) Here is one of the custom graduation announcements we created for Taylor Miller of Chapmanville High School. I love how they turned out and I especially like the zebra print with the hot pinks and greens. Fun, fun, fun!
