Senior of the Week-Lyndsey Henderson

Well, it's been senior, senior, senior lately...and for quite a while. I am already booked solid until November...so if you haven't made your senior appointment you'd better do so quick.
This senior came all the way from Dobson, North Carolina to be photographed here in the great state of WV. I am so honored that someone would come from that far away to be photographed...Anyway, Lyndsey was great and her photos turned out awesome! In fact, when her grandmother picked them up, they brought her to tears.

Senior of the week--Shane Porter

I wanted to post an image of a new gallery we are offering this year for seniors...so I thought it fitting to do so for a senior of the week. Shane and his family have been looking forward to his senior portraits for many years... When I speak at my seminars I always tell the story of how Shane's mother called to book his appointment for his senior portraits when he was a freshman....now, we DO book for seniors way in advance... but that is the earliest I have ever had anyone call for their session. You gotta love it!! I love a senior that is that excited about their senior session....And, I have to say I did feel a lot of pressure that day, knowing how important it was to Shane and his family. As you can see, it was a great day and the pictures turned out awesome!

Harper Hutchinson

I wanted to share the recent birth announcement I created for Tiffany and Matt Hutchinson of Huntington, WV. It announces their beautiful daughter, Harper Reann. I have been photographing Tiffany's special occasions since I photographed her senior portraits many years ago. Then, I was honored to share in her special day when she married Matt. And, most recently, I was honored to photograph the newest addition to their family. It's been such a rewarding experience to document the important events in their lives. Congratulations!!

We are very excited to participate in this year's spa Senior Model Search 2010. Each of the 15 national winners will receive a modeling portfolio and an all-expense paid trip to San Diego, CA on January 3-6, 2010. Below are featured two of last year's national winners which I photographed at last year's spa Event in Las Vegas, Nevada. The next winner could be you. . . . call 304-369-1443 or visit the spamodels.com website today to find out more. (Participating seniors must have their senior portraits taken by September 30, 2009.)

Seniors 2009

Well, the senior season is about over and the 2009 grads are preparing to send out their announcements. I have been working day and night to finish all of the senior orders and graduation announcements. Whew! I am almost finished!! But now it's time to prepare for the 2010 seniors. I plan to work most of the weekend on all the new things we'll be offering next year for the 2010 grads. (Just a note: We already have most of the summer booked up so if you are interested in getting appointment you'd better call soon.) Here is one of the custom graduation announcements we created for Taylor Miller of Chapmanville High School. I love how they turned out and I especially like the zebra print with the hot pinks and greens. Fun, fun, fun!

Rangefinder Cover

Hey, I had to post this because I was so excited about it! When I got to WPPI this year, Simply Canvas had printed 6 ft canvas prints of various Rangefinder covers. Since my cover from the previous year, I figured that my cover would not be one of the ones featured at the WPPI event. But to my surprise and excitement, I found my cover was printed for the event! So, here I am standing beside my August 2007 Cover image. I tried so desperately to get this home with me but it was entirely too large. But thanks to Simply Canvas, I have my very own (a little smaller) canvas print hanging in my studio. They were kind enough to print it and send it to me last week. Thanks Rangefinder and Simply Canvas. You made my day!!

Senior of the Week--Neal Scaggs III

Sorry it's taken me so long to post. . . This week's senior is Neal Scaggs III from Logan High School. Although Neal wasn't looking forward to the long and extensive session, I think that, in the end, it wasn't as bad as he thought it would be. Anyway his portraits turned out awesome and Neal was so easy to work with. Also, I enjoyed catching up with his mom, Kristi who I have been friends with for years. Neal is planning to attend Marshall in the fall and is very excited about his position as a manager for the Marshall men's basketball team. Here are a few pages from Neal's senior album. Enjoy.

New Camera Bag

I am so excited! While in Phoenix at Imaging USA, my photoDUDS booth was just a few doors down from the Jill-e designs booth. I have been admiring their stylish camera bags for a couple of years now but I finally made the step and ordered one. It's from their new line, jack. (It's probably no surprise to those who know me that I chose a bag for their new men's line.) I have always has a thing for messenger bags and the bag I ordered is based on this style and is even called the Messenger Camera Bag. Anyway, it's too cool and I can't wait to get my bag next month!!!
